WELCOME TO THE STEWART'S MELVILLE F.P.
GOLF CLUB

The Club was established in 1887 and currently has over one hundred active members.
Our aim is to encourage the enjoyment of golf by former pupils of Stewart's Melville College, by arranging outings, competitions and matches throughout the year, for golfers of all abilities.

Club competitions run throughout the year, with popular singles and foursomes competitions held in the summer, and a greensomes competition held in the winter.

There are plenty of opportunities to play in Club matches, both competitive and social.

In recent years, the Club's scratch teams have been very successful, winning the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Coronation Schools Tournament in four years out of the past six, as well as participating in the Dispatch Trophy and qualifying for the prestigious Grafton Morrish competition in Norfolk.

There are traditionally three outings for Club members each year - in Spring, Summer and Autumn - held at some of the country's best courses.  In 2020, the Summer Outing will be at Muirfield and the Autumn Outing at Lanark Golf Club.

This year the Club introduced an extra, early-summer outing for the new "1887 Trophy".

The social side is a big part of the Club.  Our highly successful Annual Dinner regularly attracts up to 100 attendees, and is always an excellent evening with top speakers.

The now-legendary Retreat is held in late September / early October and encompasses three days of golf played over four fine courses and, of course, the always-entertaining Retreat Dinner.  Some 24 of our bon viveurs partake in this event, which continues to go from strength-to-strength.
